Step 1: Remove back cover and lower furnace door.

Step 2: Remove both belt clamps holding the belt to the Textolite lift carriage.

Step 3: Move the belt slightly to uncover the 2 bolts holding the door arm.

Step 4: While holding the door in position remove the 2 bolts. Remove the door.

Step 5: Remove the bolt holding the bottom of the right guide rail.

Step 6: Loosen (do not remove) the bolt at the top of the same right guide rail.

Step 7: Rotate the lower end of the guide rail to the right and remove the lift carriage.

This removes the old lift carriage.
Step 8: Locate the new lift carriage with the bearing and install it in the reverse order.

Rotate the lower end of the guide rail to the right to make room for the new lift carriage.

Step 9: Move the lower end of the guide rail so it fits into the slot.

Step 10: Screw the bolt back in position. Do NOT tighten, leave it slightly loose.

Step 11: Bring the lift carriage to the top and tighten the bolt at the top of the guide rail. Make sure the lift carriage moves freely but still feels snug with not much play.

Step 12: Bring the lift carriage to the bottom. Adjust the bottom end of the guide rail so the carriage can travel along the full length with a snug fit. It is important not to have any mechanical interference and at the same time the carriage slides smoothly. Tighten to bottom and top bolts to position the guide rail in place.

Step 13: Attach the door arm back to the lift carriage. Move the belt to the right as needed to access the 2 bolts.

Step 14: Bring the lift carriage to the top and carefully attach the 2 belt clamps.

Step 15: If needed adjust the top micro-switch so in the top position the door spring is depressed to ½ (half) of its original position.
Either micro-switch can be adjusted horizontally and vertically.
Horizontal adjustment is needed for better contact with the bearing.
Vertical adjustment is needed for the exact point where the motor tuns off.
Lower limiting micro-switch:

Upper limiting micro-switch:

Correctly adjusted upper micro-switch is indicated by the bolt head sticking about 2-3mm.
